- Mora Public Library Used
Book Sale -The Friends of the Mora Library will hold their fall
book sale on Friday, October 10 from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm and on
Saturday, October 11 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Come check out the
wide variety of items available for sale. (Hardcovers
- .25; Paperbacks - .10 and on Saturday ONLY - a bag of items for $2.00)
- Milaca Public Library Book
Sale - Visit the Milaca Public Library on Saturday, September
27 from10:00 am to 3:00 pm and checkout the books for sale. All
proceeds will go to the Friends of the Library to support local
programming. Stop by - you are sure to find something of
interest. (Hardcovers - $1.00; Paperbacks - .50; Videos - $1.00)

Regional Library wants
to make sure
that both you and
your children have the smartest card of all – a library card. For more information on how to sign up for a library
card, visit or call your local ECRL branch library.
Remember there is
always room for the smartest card of all - a library card.

- Is your Branch Librarian
missing? -- As part of their wellness program, ECRL staff have
logged a collective walking total of 1,998 miles - a distance roughly
equivalent to walking to Los Angeles California. Aitkin Branch
Librarian and ECRL Wellness Team Chair Mary Beth Woodrow reports that
"Maybe next summer we can walk our way back--L.A's not a bad place to
have to winter over!" 21

- Genealogy Classes to be
Offered Again--If you missed it the first time, now is your
chance to learn all about ECRL's genealogical database, Ancestry
Library edition. Reference staff will be offering classes at the
following ECRL libraries. Please call each of the libraries
listed below for more information. Registration is necessary and

- Look What's Cookin' Summer
Reading Celebrations!--Things have really been cookin' at all of
our ECRL branches this summer and the summer reading program is drawing
to a close. So it's time for everyone to get together and
celebrate all our reading accomplishments! Many of the ECRL
branches have special celebrations and/or programs planned. Call
your local ECRL branch for more information about the program!

makes us laugh
hysterically as he whips up rock soup, peanut butter mustard soup and
more. The
